The Wii Chiiwaakanak Learning Centre at the University of Winnipeg provides educational and cultural programming that is rooted in Indigenous knowledge. In order to support the Centre’s integral work with underserved communities, the Tea for Wii Chii event was generously started by UWinnipeg alumna Jennifer Roblin in 2015.
Over the last ten years, the Tea for Wii Chii has raised over $250,000. We are grateful to Jennifer and all our Tea for Wii Chii donors for their continued support!
All of Wii Chii’s programs are free of charge and open to all families and individuals regardless of age, knowledge, or ability. Programming includes:
Children & Youth
Indigenous STEAM Camp
STEM Explorers
Indigenous Craft Group
Family Programming
Learning Anishinaabemowin
Women's Self-Defense
Powwow Club
The Wii Chii team continues to create important programming that supports and nurtures the community. It is thanks to our donors that the Wii Chiiwaakanak Learning Centre is able to engage thousands of youth, families and individuals each year.
