Help Support The Wii Chiiwaakanak Learning Centre:
Tea for Wii Chii is an annual event that will be held on May 23, 2018 in Toronto, Ontario in support of The Wii Chiiwaakanak Learning Centre, a community partnership initiative that provides pathways to educational and capacity building opportunities. It is designed to reflect our neighbours’ needs for an educational gathering place that is inclusive and accessible by focusing our efforts on Indigenous, low-income and new Canadians who benefit from additional avenues for gaining access to educational programming. All of their programs are free of charge and open to all families and individuals regardless of age, knowledge, or ability.
Current programs include Spring Break Camp, Sacred Seven, Science Explorers/Homework Club, Women's Self Defense, Learning Anishinaabemowin and Pow Wow Club.
It is thanks to generous donors that Wii Chiiwaakanak Learning Centre is able to open its doors every day, allowing Winnipeg’s inner-city community free and open access to meeting spaces, after-school homework clubs and numerous cultural programs.
Our goal is to raise $15,000 to help support the free programming at The Wii Chiiwaakanak Learning Centre. If you don’t want to make a gift online, you can also send a cheque to:
