Change in Leadership at the University of Winnipeg News Releases
Share:
On November 26, the University of Winnipeg (UWinnipeg) announced that Dr. Todd Mondor, President and Vice-Chancellor, is no longer with the institution. We join the Board of Regents in acknowledging Dr. Mondor’s contributions during his tenure and appreciating his service to the University community.
The University of Winnipeg Foundation (UWF) wishes to reassure our community that recent leadership changes at UWinnipeg do not affect the UWF in its independent governance, operations, or ability to deliver impact. All donor funds remain fully secure and continue to be managed and used exactly as intended. Our commitment to supporting student success, academic priorities, and community outreach is unwavering, and our work continues without disruption.
The Board of Regents have emphasized that this decision followed careful consideration as the institution moves forward with the implementation of its new strategic plan. A process to appoint interim leadership is underway, with Dr. Pavlina Radia providing acting leadership in the interim. A comprehensive search for the next President and Vice-Chancellor will begin soon, guided by a commitment to community engagement and strong, collaborative relationships with students, faculty, staff, and broader stakeholders.
Throughout this transition, the UWF continues to work closely with UWinnipeg and remains a strong, steady partner dedicated to advancing shared priorities. Leadership changes at UWinnipeg do not alter our mandate, our mission, or our commitment to stewarding donor generosity with transparency and integrity.
